Warmth of a Scandinavian Home

Meet LINDA

The most important thing about me is that I love making things. As a kid, I spent hours and hours in my room turning pieces of paper and yarn into all kinds of weird and fantastic creations. Since then I’ve dabbled in a lot of different crafts from bookbinding and calligraphy to knitting and weaving.

Another passion of mine is interior design. My parents used to joke that there should be wheels on all my furniture since I reorganized my room so often. Nowadays the furniture mostly stays where it is, but I love changing the look of a room by adding different colours and textures. My style is mostly modern Scandinavian. I love the simplicity and clean lines, but with a few pops of colour for a bit of drama.

I have a deep respect for traditional handicrafts, but I like giving the things I make a more modern flair. At the moment, my favourite crafts include weaving, sewing, quilting and knitting.

And lastly I of course have to mention my feline cohabitants. I love cats and for a few years I've been a foster human for cats waiting to be adopted. Most of the cats in my foster home are feral. They were born outdoors in large populations. Some of them have never interacted with humans before and it can take months, or even years, before they learn to trust people. Taking care of these cats and helping them on their way to happy indoor cats is very rewarding.

I have two cats of my own: Justin and Ivy. Justin has been with me since he was a kitten. He would like everyone to know that he's the king of the whole world. Ivy is a foster fail, a foster cat that I've adopted. She took to indoor living immediately and she loves warmth and goodies.
