HANDMADE SOAPS

The soaps in the shop are

• Handmade

• Vegan

• Palm oil free

• Fragrance free

 

The soap recipe has been assessed for safety and approved in EU and the UK

 

The soaps are coloured with natural ingredients: activated charcoal, spirulina, cocoa powder and turmeric. Since I use only natural colorants, the colour may fade a bit with age. This does not affect the usability of the soap. 

 

The soaps are made with the cold process method, which consists of mixing lye with cooking oils. Through a chemical process all of the lye and most of the oils are turned into soap. There is no lye left in the final product. A little bit of oil remains in the soaps, which makes them more moisturizing and gentler to the skin than many commercially made soaps. 

 

The right kind of soap dish is important when using handmade soaps. The soaps need to be able to dry out completely between uses, so make sure all the water can drain out if your soap dish. This ensures that the bar of soap stays hard and lasts much longer.
