Knitting Project Bags

Writer's picture: Linda JuslinLinda Juslin

What makes a great knitting project bag? This is a question I've been mulling over for quite a while. A few months ago I found a pattern that worked for me and that I can easily modify to fit my needs.

These bags are sturdy, but still light. If you fold the top down either on the outside or the inside of the bags, they can be used as knitting baskets. The bags have plenty of pockets both on the outside and the inside. The drawstring makes it easy to open and close them. This last one is a feature that is absolutely essential for me, since I have a cat who loves to "help" if I leave my knitting unattended. His help usually ends with the yarn wrapped around every chair in the apartment. And whatever is left of the ball of yarn usually ends up either in the litterbox or in his food. So yes, I love a bag that is easy to close.

The bags come in three different sizes.

A few of these bags are in my shop so go have a look if you're interested.
